Parents are asking for star ratings to help them identify child care/early education providers who understand the latest best practices in early learning. In fact, 96 percent of Minnesotans support star ratings. Parent Aware is here to help you respond. Child care providers/early educators say the program works! Of participants, 92 percent said that Parent Aware improved their quality.
The ratings will be expanding statewide over the next three years. They are currently available in: Becker, Blue Earth, Clearwater, Hennepin, Itasca, Mahnomen, Nicollet and Ramsey counties and White Earth Reservation.

Improve
Work with your local Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agency to prepare for a Parent Aware quality rating. Qualifying programs will receive Building Quality: Making Good Things Better coaching, improvement support dollars, professional development advising and training. All child care providers/educators are invited to access CCR&R services that support quality improvement.
