- The first step in participating in Parent Aware is to choose the rating pathway that best fits your needs:
- Building Quality: Making Good Things Better, offers coaching and training to help you prepare for a rating. To get started with Building Quality, use the drop-down below to find your local Child Care Resource and Referral agency Parent Aware representative and then contact them.
- When you’re ready to begin the rating process, your local CCR&R team is available to support you through the next phase of training, coaching and growth. Contact your local Child Care Resource and Referral agency Parent Aware representative.
- Accelerated Pathways to Rating are available to accredited child care, Head Start and School-Based Pre-K programs. Accelerated Pathways to Rating FAQ
- Child care programs are invited to learn more by calling the Minnesota Child Care Resource and Referral Network: 888-308-3224.
- Head Start and School Based Pre-K programs are invited to learn more by calling the Minnesota Department of Education: 651-582-8399.
- Accreditation support is available through the Accreditation Facilitation Project. - If the Parent Aware ratings are not yet available in your area, if you are awaiting a spot in an upcoming cohort or if you simply want to take the initial steps to rating on your own, please consider the following steps:
- Join the Minnesota Center for Professional Development’s Registry.
- Attend recommended training.
All pathways to rating are available to qualifying child care providers/early educators as spots are available.
